Solteiros desde o nascimento, Yuan Qian e Qin Shen são duas pessoas que provavelmente vão acabar solteiras para o resto da vida porque querem. Tendo como pano de fundo uma escola de arte, a história segue alunos que superam muitas dificuldades para perseguir seus ideais artísticos. Qin Shen é um estudante que sonha em se tornar um escultor. Um calouro em seu departamento, ele é como uma existência de nível divino em sua escola - frio,disciplinado e perfeccionista. No entanto, as garotas não significam nada para ele e ele acha que namorar é uma completa perda de tempo. Yuan Qian tem a aparência de uma linda garota da porta ao lado, mas tem uma personalidade obstinada. Ela é eloqüente e determinada de tal forma que ninguém pode impedi-la, uma vez que ela se concentre em algo. No entanto, ela tende a criticar tanto as deficiências dos outros que nenhum cara consegue impressioná-la.
