O jovem Kenji Narukami chega à cidade de Akebono, sendo confundido com um demônio logo ao entrar pela ponte da cidade. Uma invasão de Servos malignos da Yamanga abate-se sobre a cidade. Kenji salva o filhote de cachorro de um dos comerciantes da área atacada, enquanto um guerreiro vermelho prateado aparece e derrota os invasores. Posteriormente, o criador de monstros da organização Yamanga, Doutor Worm, cria a besta Reptolillix para devorar os metais da cidade. Kenji tenta lutar contra o demônio, que salta pelos céus com o jovem em seu dorso. Ao ser atingido pelo clarão de luz de Geki Ryu, Kenji cai em um templo mas não se fere. O artefato controla seu corpo, fazendo com que o jovem se transforme no poderoso Espadachim Madan Ryukendo. Com um novo poder em mãos, Kenji derrota a criatura com seu Corte Madan, salvando a cidade.
