When Kintaro takes Ryutaro to his nursery school, he's shocked to meet Hitomi, who's the spitting image of his late wife. The first payday, he's invited out for a drink where they're accosted by a yakuza.

One day, CEO Ryunosuke introduces him to the father of a young man Kintaro had helped in the past. Misuzu and Hitomi call on Kintaro at home, but they're left to twiddle their thumbs when Kintaro realizes that it's Ryuta's birthday, and he rushes off to Akemi's gravesite.

After the meeting, Kintaro tries to get Yamato to go to the hospital, but he refuses and goes to his office instead...

Then, newly promoted president Takatsukasa receives a letter of resignation from Kintaro. One day, Kayo brings Kintaro a letter written by the late CEO.
