Love That Begins on the Last Train (2023)

Synopsis

Haru, the protagonist, once fulfilled his dream, but fell into despair. After returning to his hometown of Nagoya, he lives a life of distrust, with no particular purpose. On the last train to his late-night part-time job, he is accidentally reunites with his childhood sweetheart, Mako, for the first time in 15 years. Haru is trying to live up to the ideals that Mako, who used to admire Haru, has portrayed to him in the past, by telling a series of small lies. As he meets Mako, Haru's feelings change, but how will this lie-laced love develop?
