Frontier of Love (2018)

Synopsis

In the late 1950s, Wen Yiqiu, a Chinese broadcasting student, marries Soviet announcer Weika in Beijing. When he’s forced to return home due to political tensions, Yiqiu takes a job in a border town to stay close. Separated by national borders, they find comfort in each other’s broadcasts, clinging to hope as they await a change in Chinese-Soviet relations.
